 Vice Chancellery for Research & Technology

ACECR is a non-governmental academic center which was established in 1980 to promote research technology, education and culture, and produce job opportunities according to the requirements of the country.

   Research is one of the main organizational missions of ACECR and it had played a very important role in the structure of its activities from the beginning of the foundation of this institution after the Islamic Revolution. In the charter of ACECR which is ratified by the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution, two of its three goals and five of its nine duties focused on the research activities of the institution.

   Features of research activities include doing functional and developing researches, attempt for the management of researches, making use of the specialists and committed forces, and holding a flexible structure. All of these resulted in emerging many projects and researches out of a small organization which were performed mostly for the first time in the country.

   ACECR – Mashhad Branch (Khorasan Razavi Province) started its activity in the areas of research, education, and culture soon after the establishment of ACECR.

   Vice Chancellery for research does its activity in the form of research groups and specialized service centers and at the moment contains seven authorized research groups and three service centers and also four new research cores with the aim of improving to  new research groups are established.

   Food Sciences and Technology Research Institute of ACECR was established in 2007. This research center has three research groups: Food processing research department, Research department of food quality & safety and food additives research department.

Institute of tourism research of ACECR was established in 2011. This research institute has three research groups: The tourism sociology department, The tourism economic department and tourism management and urban planning department ( Priority in this group is religious) .

Research institute for industrial biotechnology was established  in 2013. This research institute has three groups: Department of industrial microorganisms, Department of industrial fungi biotechnology and department of ornamental plants biotechnology.

 

  Material Research Group, Blood borne infection research center, Stem cell and regenerative medicine research group, are some other activities of this vice chancellery.

   Specialized Service Center for Medical Diagnosis and Pathology is one of the first established centers in Mashhad and four laboratories including medical diagnosis laboratory, central laboratory, laboratory no.2, Neishabour laboratory, and Gonabad laboratory are working under the supervision of this center.

   Center of Specialized Dental Cares and Specialized Center for Engineering and Technical Services are two other ACECR- Mashhad Branch centers.

   At this time 55 full-time employees and 45 part-time employees are working for the vice chancellery. Among these 35 people work as fulltime scientific staff and 40 prominent specialists and professors cooperate with this office as part time members of the scientific councils.  In ACECR 450 research projects, 25 books, Several ational and international articles was recorded. Research groups of ACECR won two times Khwarazmi Prize and 13 inventions Recorded. Research groups Holding 50 congresses and workshops
